Programs can take place either indoors or outdoors, although the preference is to be outdoors when possible. The goals for each program, group, and individual are unique; for that reason, programs are customized and adapted to best meet the needs of your organization. Ideally, programs take place on-site, but if space is limited, we can assist in recommending another location.

Examples of co-treatment can include: shadowing client during a session; co-facilitation of the group; discuss case notes; treatment team meetings; and access to pertinent participant information such as diagnosis, medication and reason for treatment.

Has a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in horticultural therapy, or the minimum of a bachelor’s degree with additional coursework in plant science, human science, and horticultural therapy.
Has completed a 480-hour internship in horticultural therapy supervised by a professionally registered horticultural therapist.
Is professionally registered as a horticultural therapist with the American Horticultural Therapy Association and is designated by the professional credential HTR, Horticultural Therapist-Registered.
